Willis-Knighton Announces Advancement in Emergency Cardiac Care Treatment (12/29/2008)
Willis-Knighton Health System announced today that it has begun using a new device when it performs CPR on patients in cardiac arrest. The goal is to improve the rate of resuscitation and ultimately, survival, from a heart attack or other causes of cardiac arrest.

Dr. Loren Smith Joins Signature Urology (11/14/2008)
Loren J. Smith, M.D., has joined Signature Urology in Suite 140 of the Medical Arts Building at 2551 Greenwood Road in Shreveport. Dr. Smith joins Dr. F. Thomas Siskron IV in the urology practice.
Dr. Rowena DeSouza Joins WK/University Urology Affiliates (10/30/2008)
Rowena A. DeSouza, M.D., has joined WK/University Urology Affiliates. She sees patients at both of the practice’s locations, Suite 800 at WK Pierremont Health Center, and Suite 106 at the Physicians Center at Willis-Knighton South. Dr. DeSouza joins Doctors Donald Elmajian, Alexander Gomelsky, John Mata and Dennis Venable in the urology practice.
